| ahahaha. just read it. you really can't describe it. it's reeeally short don't worry. |

rain is but a breathit was while you laid next to me after making love for the first time that i heard pittering against the windowpanes like a child tapping lightly on a piece of woodrain is but a breath
your soft breaths did not match those of the winds that carried drops of sky and ocean and god nor did it match the soft thundering from miles away but it seemed to be the only thing
i heard
and when i spread my fingers across your chest like a spider going to sleep i felt your little organs flutter butterflies through your rib cages and escape through your exhaling breath as a sigh that simply

conglomeratei am growing; the slow pace of a baby's fingers fattening & elongating over the course of the months i reside in a highchair; yet mommy & daddy don't see changes until they look at the pictures.conglomerate
& i am finding myself at the bottom of a beanstalk
growing lightning-fast (the beanstalk, i mean)
while my fingers can barely grasp hands their own size, beans on stems so small as a fingernail.
i begin to wither before i have finished germinating.

edited sestina - messed up-ishdo you like burning babies?edited sestina - messed up-ish
this is how we begin, forming & turning & tracing curves watching red lights through stretched skin our heads bulging just like all babies, all cells splitting & joining & waiting. & we pour into the world like oceans,
overflowing atlantic or pacific oceans & now, we begin. we start by opening our eyes & waiting to be rubbed & warmed & hands to roughly scruff our curves from the filth of our birth, filth of newborn babies & already rotting skin.
it is here that we become aware of our skin we watch

Were not at the end but oh we already won
